“CryptoHaven” is currently on hiatus ^_^”

*The plot*

“Making new friends, seeking comfort and sharing secrets while remaining anonymous” – transferring to a new highs school, Mia is required to participate in the testing of a school wide suicide prevention program that’s based on just that concept.

When the secret she uncovers belongs to the psychologist coordinating the program, she does the worst possible thing, telling her new anonymous friend. Now she finds herself at the mercy of a faceless opponent. Will she discover his identity in time or risk having her greatest secret revealed?

*The program*

Every student receives a password which they use to log into CryptoHaven, an anonymous chat program.  They receive a screen name and, once online, they can talk to the other students using the forums, or have private 1-on-1 conversations.

Mia (renameable, class 11-A) – the main character

Natalie Haynes (psychologist) – though serious when it comes to her work, she has a sunny personality and is always smiling.

Maribel (class 11-A )- a lonely but very sweet girl, she is the first person to approach Mia

Charlie aka Casper (11-A) – a quiet and reserved guy. He’s called Casper due to the fact that most people don’t notice his presence.

Alba (11-A) – the resident popular girl. She seems to particularly dislike Mia

Vaughn (class 11-B) – he can solve any problem for a price. He is believed to be a hacker and many say he plans to crash Crypto.

Finn (11-D) – one of the school’s popular kids and Mia’s former crush who now reminds her too much of the past

*Estimated progress*

This project sounds really good! I haven’t played Summer Found Me yet, but I plan to very soon. I find myself falling in love with your projects even though i have not played them yet. I can’t wait until I do!!!

Thank you! You made me kind of nervous now. I really hope when you do play you won’t be disappointed. ^^

    Hey Glasshearts!

I recently played ‘Summer Found Me’ and enjoyed the light-heartedness and romance in it! And it was remiscent of life with the personal touches you added like Iris IM-ing her friends. Even though the VN was marketed as ‘slice-of-life’, I’m really fond of the bit where Alden confesses that he did not think he was up to Iris’ expectations. Like most individuals in love, Iris viewed Alden as perfect and larger-than-life and it’s something that, sadly, occurs a lot IRL too. The character sprites were also real neat 🙂 It was a great job for your first (I think) VN!

I’m hyped about this new VN too because the idea seems cool, what with all the online anonymity and mystery! The forum interactions are something I’ll be looking forward to especially; good luck with the coding.

I have quite some time on my hands right now and I’d love to offer my help! I adore the whole story-telling platform of visual novels – with its art and music and choices and plot – but I’ve never planned to create one myself because my art skills aren’t much 😦 But I’ve been reading and writing for a while so if you don’t mind a silly, bumbling person, I would LOVE to help in any way – as a beta-reader or co-writer or just brainstormer. Kudos to you, girl; I’m sure this will turn out jsut as good or even better than ‘Summer Found Me’ ❤ Enjoy your day hun!

It always makes me happy to hear people enjoyed playing Summer! I did work a lot on it, but I knew it had a rather weak premise so I never expected so many people to like it. ^^ It just puts be in a great mood when I receive such positive feedback.

I’m glad you’re excited about the new VN. Right now I’m in the part where I’m starting to doubt myself, the story, the characters, pretty much everything. I’m beginning to wonder if this feeling ever goes away or is unavoidable for every project.

I was actually thinking I might need help with writing since it isn’t my strong point and I’d also love someone with whom I can share my story. English isn’t my native language so a lot of times when I try to say something poetic the whole thing sounds off. >.> So if you’re still interested in hearing the whole story and telling me your opinion, let me know. ^^

Aww, I think you did a wonderful job on it and it will just keep getting better with each VN you make! ❤

Almost everyone who creates something, be it artists or writers, face self-doubt sometimes. Just remember the reason why you're making the VN in the first place; maybe because you love the platform or your story or your characters and all that really matters is that you have fun while making it 🙂 And if I would play the game, others would definitely too. Don't worry about it; you've got this!

Oh, I would absolutely love to help in any way I can! 🙂 How would you like to discuss ideas? I could post my email here using a self-destruct-ince-read link or I could create a Lemmasoft account since I've been meaning to.

Have a nice day/good night's rest (timezones are messy things :c) and don't stress about the VN! ❤

      • GlassHeart 12/11/2012 at 15:39 #

Thanks for the encouragment, I feel better already 😀

I don’t have a preference, but if you wanted to create a lemmasoft account anyway I wouldn’t mind talking there. I find it’s easier to follow conversations anyway. Just send me a message when you do. I have the same username, GlassHeart.
I’m looking forward to it. ^^

I, for some reason, haven’t been able to download games lately, so I haven’t played any of yours yet, but I would just like to say that Summer Found Me look fantastic! I can’t wait till I can finally play it; it definitely looks like on of the best I have ever seen. Cryptohaven also looks great, and I can’t wait to play it either! As a writer (ish- I’m still in school, but I’ve accomplished myself a fair bit) who’s too lazy to actually write much, I really admire you for putting these projects together, which I know must take up alot of time and effort. Please keep it up!
Also, Finn looks amazing, I just can’t wait to see him come to life! Actually, I find his name quite funny, as Fin is the name of the wierdest guy in our school (and not in a slightly geeky way either- he’s full on psycho) and this guy is one of the more popular guys!

    • GlassHeart 17/11/2012 at 11:59 #

I hope you’ll be able to play games soon and that you’ll like Summer after you play it. Please comment again when you do to let me know what you thought of it. ^_^

I almost changed Finn’s name, but in the end I just liked it too much. I can’t imagine anyone who is not cool having that name! Well, I’ll try to make sure you’ll like him in the game at least. ^^

I am so glad that i found your website! 😉 You’re lifesaver cos I found free visual novels (GxB) for a looooong time ;D I played “Summer found me” and this game is cool! I can’t wait for “CryptoHaven” and next visual novels! 🙂 You’re games should be more popular i think, so i hope it’ll change 🙂

    • GlassHeart 28/12/2012 at 18:47 #

The plot seems intriguing enough to caught my attention. There are a few grammatical errors in the summary; double check to get rid of these few misleading errors. The characters seem interesting, and the art so far looks great. Good luck on finishing your game. As a writer, I found your games fairly decent since your plots are developed and the story lines aren’t shallow. So you have gain a new fan now.

    • GlassHeart 16/04/2013 at 14:09 #

I’m glad to hear you’re interested in my game. I looked over the summary and fixed a few mistakes so hopefully it’s all good now. Thanks for pointing that out.

Hopefully my future games will be even better, now that I have some experience. I’m by no means a writer, so hearing that my writing doesn’t totally suck is good news. ^^

  9. Teshia 16/04/2013 at 23:15 #

Ah, well it grabbed my attention quickly which is unusual for me since I’m a very choosy person. I’m not a grammar nazi, but I didn’t found any errors visible. So it’s fine, I guess. You’re welcome. 🙂

I’m sure that they will be great. The more you keep on trying, the better you’ll get. Writing is stressful at times, but it’s a good feeling when you accomplished something. Glad that I made you feel that way. ^ ^
