Signed X available on the iPad!

22 Sep

Bet you thought I was swallowed by a sea of anime and otome games, huh? Well, I’m still here and will be making an important update soon. Buuut, that’s not what I’m here to talk about today,

Signed X has been ported to the iPad. Exciting news, right?

Thanks to Julian, the person who did all the hard work! Hopefully together we’ll be able to reach more people with the power of visual novels. We started with Signed X since it was a small game, but if this endevour proves succesful, maybe we can port more games in the future.

I didn’t announce this earlier because until the last moment I wasn’t sure if this was really happening or not and didn’t want to jinx it. Yeah, I’m paranoid like that. >.>  I was reluctant to tell even my friends and family and didn’t want to make a big deal out of it since making VNs has been just an unusual hobby of mine.

But enought of my whining! If you have an iPad and would like to play a visual novel on the go or if you’ve already played Signed X and just want to support future games, you can check out the download links below.  There is a lite version that you can download for free ^_^

Wanna cupcake?

Just felt like drawing today. Now I want a cupcake. *sigh*

Signed X download link is up!

31 Mar

The link is on the game page. What are you waiting for, go download it!  I’ll wait.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think. Or else no cupcakes for you.

Sprites and shtuff

26 Mar

So Vicky has a sprite now… that’s something to post about, right? And I made a page for Signed X, that surely is post-worthy, no? I’ve just had all the inspiration squeezed out of me, so I’m not able to say anything funny or intelligent about any of that.

I’ll try to hold off releasing the game until the 31st, because I still find things wrong with it. I want to post it already and forget about it, but I have to fight that urge! I know all too well that even after I release it, someone’s gonna point out some errors and I’ll just want to hide under my bed and cry. Then I’ll remember my bed is too low for me to hide under.

If after making such a fun, upbeat VN I feel so exhausted and depressed, would making a drama/horror VN make me all happy and bubbly? Alas, life doesn’t work that way. Back to procrastinating!

Day 6: script is done

18 Mar

It’s day 6 of my project for NaNoRenO and I’m happy to say the script is done. In the end the story has 4 endings, instead of 2-3, and I actually had to make an effort to keep that number from growing. There were at least 2 other endings I could think of, but I think those would just be overkill, given the fact that the story is pretty linear. Just skipping past 90% of the story of a little extra doesn’t seem worth it.

I’ll probably still tweak the dialogue here and there, but for the most part it’s done, at 9.911 words.  It seems quite a lot, it’s almost a quarter of SFM which took more than a year to make, but when I think about it, not that much happens.

I also changed the heroine’s name to Marty, since it’s sounds like martie, the Romanian word for march ^^ I think it’s a cuter name and it suits her better.

My next move should be cutting up the sprites. I hate this part. Saving each eye, brow, mouth state and then coding them together into different expressions and then inserting them is such a drag. I wish the computer could read my mind and do it for me. Not to mention I did an extra outfit for two of the characters. What was I thinking? And they only use it once, what a waste.

I’ve never drawn such a cute MC before. I usually make the girls look more mature, but this whole game is just so filled with hearts and pink, it’s no use stopping now. Oh, well… Enjoy this pic of the sprites for now ^^
